Look at exercise as a way to treat yourself. I see it as "my time", i.e., the only uninterrupted time I get for myself. Secondly, exercise is spiritual for me. Not only do I get the time alone, I get to have the time alone with God and as such it is a blessing and I thank my Creator for giving me arms and legs and a body that can move - you get the idea. I also love being outside and have learned to enjoy ALL weather conditions. In fact I would say there's probably been less than 5 days in the last year that I haven't been outside. When the weather is poor I look at it as an extra challenge and have a sense of accomplishment of overcoming the poor conditions. I have also learned that the best part of the workout is often at the end. I reflect on the sense of pride in taking good care of myself and am mindful that of the peace and focus that my workout has afforded me.
