We define mindfulness as creating a greater awareness. We can have greater internal awareness by being in tune with how we feel physically, emotionally and mentally. Another type of mindfulness is having a greater external awareness. Both types of mindfulness can be especially helpful to relax, reduce stress and increase the joy and satisfaction in your life.
Note: As a Christian-oriented business we strive to separate our brand of mindfulness from Eastern religon.

Visual Imagery |
Visual imagery is a technique we use to help create a picture in your mind. Sports Psychology, was an area of emphasis that founder and Executive Director of Still Waters, Kelly Marsengill, had in graduate school. He has taken nuggets that he has picked up over the years to help you obtain peak performance in whatever area in life you want to excel in. We have some specific visual imagery exercises that we use, but ultimately you are the artist that draws the picture in your mind. Athletes have been using visual imagery for some time to help them reach peak performance and we think you will too if decide to participate in a mindfulness class or one-on-one coaching.

MeditationAffirmations |
Meditation, another type of internal mindfulness, is a technique that uses a phrase or thought to reach a higher level of performance. We can work with you individually or in a small group to use mindfulness to help you improve your life!
We use affirmations, which are positive self-statements, to reinforce healthy ways of relating to the world. Affirmations help to reprogram the brain in a way to create more optimal functioning.
